To everything a season.

There are apparently two seasons in Northern CA -
green and brown.

In January when I visited, it was green
with landscape so reminiscent of Ireland and Scotland
that I expected to see leprechauns cavorting on the hillsides.

Needless to say,
this wasn’t that.

Not that there aren’t wonderful pops of color and beauty
in the soothing palette of ‘earth tones’ -
sand, grass and ground.

All the neutrals providing a spectacular backdrop
for the water and florals.

Each 'season' has its own charms that I wouldn’t want to miss.
So glad I didn’t!
