The very definition of a product working against itself.

The sign, 

script writing painted on a wooden plank, 

made me smile in recognition

and I gave a respectful nod to its very ‘rightness’. 

At a different point in my life, 

I would have thought nothing of plunking down $20.00 

and bringing it home to hang on a wall 

as a daily reminder.

“The secret to having it all is recognizing that you already do.”
 

The advantage of being as old as I am 

is realizing that I do indeed have it all –

which, by definition means I don’t need the sign.

I came home empty handed
but richer nonetheless.
