It was a beautiful respite
from incessant political noise,
and while it didn't last long,
it was wonderful to have a weekend to hunker down,
have an excuse to turn off all media,
listen to the quiet
and watch a fire.
And at the end of the weekend
was THIS gift!
Time with the boy child!
who gets cuter every time I see him!
Be still my heart!
