where ordinary people work and love,
I had a long weekend.
It didn't start off well.
Driving through several waves of storms,
after a full day of work,
was extremely tiring.
I got as far as my energy could take me -
and then stopped for the night.
And, although the next day was overcast
and sporadically rainy,
I was in a lovely place to spend a few hours
before driving the last 'leg' of my trip.
Indiana Dunes State Park
Just a few hours away from home -
and across Lake Michigan from Chicago.
