To a person,
every Cuban over 20 with whom we spoke
wondered how it was that our country was getting ready
to elect Donald Trump as President.
They were bewildered,
confused
and thought it would be a bad idea.
Trust me,
I know how they feel.
We asked them how their government would feel
if there were American citizens leaving Florida by the boatload
coming to live in their country.
They assured us they would probably love it -
maybe even let us fly in.
It's an option I'm keeping in mind.
And now,
back to regularly scheduled programming.
