of a rainy, gloomy weekend
with brunches and dinners with friends,
color
and light.
(yes; it's made from 2 colanders spray painted gold)
Lights this time of year are SO magical,
aren't they?
Even took a short break from errands and ran into an antique mall
for a gag gift
for the church staff Christmas party
on Tuesday -
wait 'til you see what I came up with!
SO glad folks in my denomination
have a sense of humor!
These two items made me smile -
and scratch my head...
although with MY job,
dismembered children served on a platter
should be just another day at the office!
And, I don't know about you,
but a riding ketchup bottle
was a perennial favorite
on my request list to Santa!
WTH???
And, I don't know what I was thinking when I decided
my girls needed some holiday sprucing...
I started with Pearl
(Don't you love how Pearl refused to open her eyes
and see what her life had become?)
but when I heard the two of them plotting to run away
if
I insisted on turning them into performing circus dogs,
I didn't even get
Oreo's 'dress' out of the bag.
You'll be pleased to know
Target has a VERY easy return policy...
not one embarrassing question was asked!

I am laughing so hard that I am crying! I would have loved to have seen Oreo in her "dress". Yes, I love the simplicity of Target's return policy:)
I was laughing so much I could barely take the pics - - SUCH a mistake! Can't for the life of me figure out WHY people dress their dogs - - So wrong on so many levels!
You know they are going to pay you back for this, right? They are probably at home plotting now!
It is so wrong on so many levels!
Did you see the monkey donning the faux fur jacket in Toronto? (the one that escaped from the car at the IKEA store). RIDICULOUS!
